Job Summary:

The Principal Product Manager will be responsible for developing next-generation competitive analytics tools powered by machine learning. This role involves both inbound and outbound product management, working with engineering, product design, sales, and marketing to build, launch, and refine industry-leading products.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategy & Roadmap:

● Identify and develop profitable and defensible business opportunities.
● Formulate short- and long-term strategies to disrupt market structures and competition.
● Own and drive the product vision and roadmap, leveraging customer insights and market trends.

Product Development & Execution:

● Translate customer needs and market opportunities into detailed technical product requirements.
● Manage a product backlog, author use cases, and define frontend/backend services.
● Partner with UX and engineering to ensure high usability and technical feasibility.
● Lead technical discussions, design decisions, and execution with internal teams and external partners.

Customer & Market Engagement:

● Act as a customer advocate, deeply understanding their pain points, business landscape, and needs.
● Work with sales, marketing, and customer success to launch and drive adoption of products.
● Define competitive pricing, bundling, and go-to-market strategies.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

● Prioritize and manage competing requirements across multiple teams.
● Lead data-driven decision-making, using customer feedback to iterate on product features.
● Work closely with customer success to create a frictionless adoption experience.

Required Qualifications:

5-8 years of product management experience.
3+ years of experience working with SaaS platforms and analytics tools for retailers/brands.
Strong knowledge of syndicated data sources like Nielsen.
Experience with Amazon ARA and other retail data platforms.
● Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline; MBA preferred.
● Proven track record in leading product development from ideation to launch.
● Experience in data-driven decision-making and analytics-driven product innovation.
● Strong leadership, communication, and strategic thinking abilities.
● Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment and adapt to ambiguity.

● Experience with competitive intelligence data and analytics.
● Ability to discuss technical concepts and drive engineering prioritization.
● Strong ability to influence and inspire cross-functional teams, customers, and industry leaders.
