Essential Functions:
- Manage a team of FPGA engineers, including setting goals, tracking timecards, developing training plans, and fostering career growth.
- Drive project execution, ensuring timely delivery and tracking team performance metrics.
- Maintain and enhance FPGA development processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
- Develop FPGA project cost estimates and schedules.
- Oversee budget and schedule management for assigned development projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field and a minimum of 9 years of experience developing and verifying FPGA/ASIC-based embedded systems.
- OR a Graduate Degree with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.
- OR, in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 13 years of experience in FPGA/ASIC-based embedded system development and verification.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Experience with VHDL/Verilog coding for synthesis.
- Proficiency in FPGA/ASIC verification using SystemVerilog.
- Familiarity with UVM/OVM FPGA/ASIC verification methodologies.
- Experience in developing cryptographic security solutions for communication products.
- Knowledge of Type 1/Type 3 Secure product development and certification.
- Demonstrated project leadership and management skills in embedded system and FPGA/ASIC design.
- Strong understanding of FPGA/ASIC development and verification processes.
- Highly motivated, self-starter with the ability to lead and mentor team members.
- Excellent technical writing skills and ability to convey complex technical concepts.
- Experience collaborating with remote teams and coworkers.
