Job Overview:
The Lead VDC Coordinator is responsible for creating accurate, detailed, and clash-free layouts and fabrication drawings for Plumbing, HVAC, and Process Systems using advanced CAD tools. This role ensures seamless coordination, layout efficiency, and improved project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop coordination, shop, and fabrication drawings for mechanical systems.
- Utilize clash detection software to identify and resolve conflicts.
- Attend and contribute to coordination meetings with project teams.
- Interpret architectural, structural, and mechanical layouts for fixture and equipment placement.
- Generate accurate bills of materials and ensure compliance with piping codes.
- Manage project communication and maintain documentation in Procore and Autodesk Construction Cloud.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience in 3D coordination of mechanical systems.
- Proficiency in Revit (2021-2024), Navisworks, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Bluebeam, and Procore.
- Strong understanding of mechanical, plumbing, and process piping systems.
- Ability to review submittals, interpret contract drawings, and generate RFIs.
